To properly shut down a biomass pellet burner, please follow these steps:
- Turn off the feed auger.
- Wait for about 15 minutes or see the flame in the burner reducing, then turn off the blower and the oxygen supply fan in turn.
- Turn off the fuel distributor.
- Reduce the induced draft fan speed to around 15Hz and let it run for about 30-60 minutes until the residual fire in the burner weakens, then turn off the induced draft fan.
- Open the furnace door to check the thickness of the ash layer. If the ash layer is too thick, open the ash remover to clear the ash. Additionally, the residual fire should not be too strong. If it is too strong, let the induced draft fan run for a longer period before finally turning it off.
